Bottom Dweller” + Tongyo

Deepsea Shark debuted in the second expansion set, Metal Raiders, in Summer 2002. However, he did not started seeing play until the introduction of Synchro and XYZ Summoning. If you have not guessed already, Deepsea Shark is a target for Instant Fusion (Although, he is completely outclassed by the OCG Exclusive Man-Eating Black Shark).

The advantage Deepsea has over other generic Instant Fusion targets is that he is a WATER Monster. Being WATER, Deepsea can be used as Synchro Material for the always ridiculous Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier. This would then enable zangy Infernity Loops that would require hours of explanation neither of us have time for.

I also believe Deepsea was used in some Wind-Up Extra Decks for easy Rank 5 summons, such as Tiras, Keeper of Genesis.
