United Gosus signs Lauren Tan

Halifax, December 19, 2012 – United Gosus (UG) is proud to announce that they have signed Singapore’s Lauren Tan to a one-year Player internship, effective as of December 16, 2012.

After bouncing the idea of entering the OCG around for more than two years, UG has finally made its first step into uncharted territory: Lauren becomes the first OCG member of United Gosus. Tan was extremely convincing throughout all three stages of UG’s recruitment process, and members feel strongly that he is the best candidate to turn the first steps into the OCG from a leap of faith into a calculated risk.

The roots of Yu-Gi-Oh! lie in the OCG, and despite globalization, the OCG is still a giant well on untapped potential. Forces such as language barriers, event structure, as well as gameplay, ruling, cardpool differences have always created a vast gap between the TCG and OCG. In Yu-Gi-Oh!, access to information is critical. UG feels access to consistent and accurate information of trends in the OCG only can only further their competitive advantage.
