Tournament Report YCS Madrid
Round 1:
Burning Abyss
G1:
I easily got rid of his back row and OTK’d him with Dark Armed Dragon, 2 mini Dragons and Contruct.

G2:
He starts by going Tour Guide from the Underworld into Dante (I had maxx c) but he milled bad, set’s 3 traps.
Have Chain Disappearance, Burst Rebirth, Breakthrough Skill, Mystical Space Typhoon and Sinister Shadow Games. He mills again nothing, I activate chain dis on scarm, but he still has 1 in grave, he ends turn after attacking for some damage. End phase I draw for Beast which I sent with sinister and then activate burst rebirth setting Beast. In standby he PWWB’s my set beast, so less backrow again, I mst the remaining one and go for game with bls and DAD.

Round 2:
Shaddoll Chaos (Claudio Kirchmair)
G1:
I start and say “hello OTK”.
G2:
He starts, I only have monsters, and with Mathematician into Squamata Beast I draw another monster he then OTK´s me easily.
G3:
I start with 2 set I think, he also starts not that well, after card ping pong, he thinks about otk’ing me, but he waits one more turn. By then I rushed and had everything again to say “hello OTK”.

Round 3:
Satellar Knights
G1:
He had everything from Solemn Warning, Call of the Haunted for the Deneb and Duality giving him soul charge. I had him under control and led him into using soul charging for a lot monsters, so I was easy able to reduce his life to 0.
G2:
He started with Unuk and 3 set I think. I had compulse, superpoly, ryko, 2 mst and one more card. I set ryko and my backrow apart from 1 MST, ryko did a good job.
One turn later I OTK´ed him with an army of monsters.

Round 4:
Madolche
G1:
He opens with Magileine, next turn he thought a while but after he realised that it wouldn’t be enough, he gave me one more turn. Wrong decision, I OTK´ed him then.
G2:
I had nothing, I survived with maxx c because he stopped his combo (wouldn’t have been an otk).
He had Hootcake from Anjelly’s effect on board, so only way to get rid of it was with Construct but I drew into BLS, banished Hootcake, used BLS as material for Construct and again I was able to say “hello my good old friend OTK”.

Round 5:
Shaddoll Chaos
G1:
Slow start, but in the end I was able to reduce his life with 2 superpolys.
G2:
I started with DAD in hand, but was not able to OTK, because he put me under pressure, but finally I was able to summon DAD after I regulated my grave with Daigusto Emeral.

Round 7:
Satellar Knight (Marco Mazzuoccolo)
G1:
He starts with Anuk, later he uses Call of the haunted for Deneb searching Altair, I had warning for Altair so this forces him to Soul Charge into a few monsters and summon Delteros. I had Compulse for Delteros then again I Dragon his backrow and BLS for game I think.
G2:
Ryko and Mst helped me to stop his backrow plays, his last chance Soul Charge I countered with Emptiness and finally OTK´ed with DAD and BLS.

Round 8:
Satellar Knight (Walter Dunphy)
G1:
He starts with a few sets and Unuk.
I summon Shaddoll Dragon attack, he chains dimensional prison I chain superpoly.
He only had useless traps from then on so it was a fast and easy game with his bad draws.
G2:
He drew no monsters, I beat him down with Squamata and Dragon didn’t need my superpoly in hand.

Round 9:
Shaddoll with Lightsworn
G1:
We both started not that broken, after some ping pong I had otk in hand, but made a stupid move. After I checked my grave I activated foolish for the 3rd dark in grave and summoned DAD, but I had 4 dark monsters in grave. After that misplay I put my cards together.
G2:
Again I pushed for OTK because he had nothing special, but he had a good read and double D.D Crow for my light and a dark from grave…so I was not able to bring out DAD and BLS…and also was not able to do it next turn, so I lost in the following turn because he had a good board and I had no answer.

Top 32:
Satellar (Fabio Dessi)
G1:
We both started with good cards and he put me under pressure early. His 2 alpha were not easy to handle but he lost his resources early and I felt that I can try push for OTK then I finally had game with Superpoly.
G2:
He started with a lot backrow and Unuk effect to send Deneb to grave. I had 2 MST, Ryko, Lyla (again) and Sinister Shadow Games I think. I summoned Lyla, attacked over his Monster, M2 used effect he chains Call of the haunted, I chain MST, Lyla still went to def then I set my Compulse. I milled Shaddoll Beast I think, but had his 3rd Shadow Mirror.
He activated duality took Altair, he has active shadow mirror and 1 facedown card.
I draw Breaktrough, activate Compulse and take back Lyla, summon Lyla and attacked into Dimensional Prison I then set BTS and pass turn.
BTS stops Altair´s effect and he attacks, I drew Superpoly, I take one more attack with Altair.
I draw Shaddoll Falco with open shadow mirror it’s useless, only chance next turn was to superpoly for Construct.
He draws no other monster, finally I have another card to discard and summon El Shaddoll Construct and my opponent wasn´t able to stop its attacks the following turns, so i won at the end despite a face up shadow mirror.

Top 16:
Shaddoll (Tong Wang)
G1:
He had a million Effect Veilers and Superpoly handled his BLS. He couldnt handle my 2x Vanities Emptiness so I took game 1.
G2:
Justice! He had me under control with his own emptiness’ and the better field.
I had no chance.
G3:
Fast OTK with the nuts, if I remember right.
All in all I had the faster version.

Top 8:
Shaddoll Artifact (Joshua Schmidt)
G1:
We both started not that good but after turn 2 I started making pluses and gained card advantage.
In the end I had Squamata and Dragon on field and attacked for damage,
In the process of thinking what my options are I overlayed them but didn’t wanted to XYZ-summon but the judge said I had to because I intended too. (Joshua had 2 Shaddoll Fusion in hand, Solemn warning could only stop 1, so easy game for him)
Nonetheless I was able to try and OTK but hit his Artifact Moralltach and not his Sinister Shadow Games so he survived with Shaddoll Falco.
G2:
This game was over before it started, I didn’t feel great. Aggressive female judge all the time close to my neck and I had a headache, I was not able to concentrate, had no time to think and made a stupid opening.
His only set card when I reached for OTK was a Superpoly and so Joshua didn’t have to push that much to beat me. (I played 3 Superpoly in Main Deck, didn´t draw any in both games)
All in all a good tournament, I trained really hard with my team.

I had a lot of luck at that tournament but I would say I deserved my success.
