This is Luca Chetoni from United Gosus.Here comes my report from YCS Bochum 2015 this past weekend.I used nekroz because it is just the best deck and nekroz of trishula is too strong! I used the hand trap version instead of the Solemn Scolding version because people now know that version and started to play different builds against it and in testing i saw that sometimes i just brick so i decided to use 2 Maxx “c” and 2 Effect Veiler and a more consistent decklist.I used 2 Nekroz of Trishula and this is the best decision i ever made, i won a lot of games using the second one and versus Farfa Malebranche of the Burning Abyss i could build the lock with Nekroz of Trishula in hand and just win.

I don’t really remember all my matches very well so there could be some mistakes, I might have mixed up some rounds, I don’t remember one round and I can’t think of how I won every single game, but I certainly remember I won with Nekroz of Trishula so I wrote that.

Nekroz Valens

I drew 2 very very bad first hands never summoned a Senju of the Thousand Hands or a Manju of the Ten Thousand Hands in 2 games and he destroyed me.

(losing to the last ycs champion in the first round gave me the right luck to become the new ycs champion)

Anti meta with fiends

I otk’ed him first game and second game i won with Breakthrough Skill on Vanity’s Fiend and Nekroz Of Trishula, he tried to recover with a gorz but i got too much card advantage.

Artifact anti meta with fiends

I won with Raigeki and Book Of Eclipse to deal with Vanity’s Fiend and i trish’ed him.

Second game Breakthrough Skill on Vanity’s Fiend and Nekroz of Trishula won me the game.

Satellar

I lost the first game to the new big xyz that doesn’t let me summon when it has 4 materials attached.

I won the second game and the third game with Nekroz of Trishula.

I played with a nice guy with volcanic, and i won both games thanks to Nekroz of Trishula.

Nekroz with trade in, in the first game he draw a lot and he destroy my lock and my Vanity’s Emptiness but i won second and third game.

Im sorry that i had to beat my close friend and team mate soner, he started djinn lock but I haveBook of Eclipse and Nekroz of Trishula and i won the first game. Second game i draw drew 4 ritual spell and 1 Nekroz of Clausolas and he beat me easy.

And in the third game i let him start but he dont have so good move to do and he only set Shared Ride so i otk him.

Im very sorry but i make what a said to won after beat you!

I started djinn lock but i lost to a Mistake and a Dark Hole on the lock. I won the second game but i lost the third to a Mistake.

I won the first game and in the second game i won with Mind Crush and 2 Nekroz of Trishula.

I knew from Luca Meroni that my opponent was playing the Solemn Scolding -djinn-lock deck because he saw him playing in the swiss rounds of the tournament so I decided to start and i started with djinn lock and Nekroz of Trishula in hand and he didn’t have an out so I won.

Second game I started with a Djinn, Releaser of Rituals in hand so the only thing i could do was djinn lock protected with nekroz of trishula and I won.

We were deck checked and I took a game loss for marked cards because 2 of my sleeves were worn down from shuffling. I won the second game with Nekroz of Trishula and in the third game he didn’t draw his floodgates (Mistake etc.) and I won with Nekroz of Trishula again.

I want to point out again that he was a really nice guy! I’m really happy that he cheered for me until the finals. You are a very good person. Hope to see you again at the next event!

In the first game after 2 turns i thought I had lost, but I continued playing and protecting myself until I was able to summon a Nekroz of Clausolas with Djinn Releaser of Rituals and a Nekroz of Valkyrus that got fiendish chain but stayed on the field protecting me, I used Effect Veiler on his Royal Firestorm Guards and had 2 Book of Eclipse to stop his xyz monsters and I won by decking him out in the end.

In the second game Royal Decree and Nekroz of Trishula won for me.

I won game 1 with Nekroz of Trishula and during game 2 I went for the lock which he was able to break but then I was able to summon Denko Sekka and Nekroz of Trishula and I won.

Final featured match vs Eugen Heidt

I lost the dice roll and he let me start, in the first game I started with Djinn lock protected by Nekroz of Valkyrus so D.D. Warrior Lady wasn’t an out and I won.

In the second game I started with Nekroz of Valkyrus drawing 2 and set Mind Crush. He discarded Nekroz of Brionac for Shurit Strategist of the Nekroz and activated Nekroz Mirror, I thought a little and activated Mind Crush calling Nekroz of Valkyrus because to me it looked like the only reasonable move that he could do and I was right so he discarded Nekroz Valkyrus and I saw his hand, which wasn’t great. But I immediately saw that he could go for the djinn lock and I was in a losing position because I didn’t have any out in my hand. As I thought he went Lavalval Chain into Nekroz of Clausolas lock and with no moves to play I had o pass 2 turns protecting me with Nekroz of Valkyrus to stay in the game and luckily I drew Reinforcement of the Army to break out of the lock with D.D. Warrior Lady and after that we went back to actual play. I protected myself again with Nekroz of Valkyrus adding it back with Nekroz of Unicore and in the end I was able to win the game with my 2 Nekroz of Trishula on the field.

I’m sorry Eugen for taking the title from you, but I just couldn’t lose this time! I’ve been waiting for a title for so long! But it was a pleasure to play with you!!

Well, now I want to write down some thoughts about this tournament:

The first thing that I want to express is: I FINALLY DID IT! I’ve been playing since 2005 and I never won any big event. Everytime I tried something happened,I was 17th twice when there was a cut to top 16, this European championship I came 65th with top 64 cut playing on and after being 8-1 on day one, i lost 3 times in top 16 of a YCS for timeout when I would have won otherwise etc. etc. This time luck helped me and I finally won something big.

Other than my win there’s something else I am really proud of and I want to share, I tried to be very nice to each one of my opponents no matter what happened (even when I got a gameloss) I was very permissive and had nothing but good matches with opponents appreciating my attitude and returning it themselves.

And the best thing that happened this weekend is all about my 2 games against Mathijs R. Schuurman, I lost to him on the 10th round like I said and I went on the bubble so I was not really happy.

I played with him again in the top 16 and I got a game loss so I started 0-1 without side vs a shaddoll deck that already beat me. You can imagine my feelings, I really thought that I had lost another opportunity to win something but I still played friendly and I really liked that Mathijs supported me until the end and cheered for me even after I beat him because that’s what I wanted. It is not about winning and be hated by someone but winning and be supported by other people because friends and support from other people is everything in this game.

And last but not least, I want to thank all of United Gosus (Peter, Long, Claudio, Patrik, Merlin, Soner, Umut, Stephan etc ) to make me win because without you I couldn’t have reached this goal, even in my worst period you supported me again and again and finally I brought you a title. Without you all I really couldn’t have done this! I will thank you forever for this!

Then I want to thank my really close friend Federico, I’m really sad that you lost the semifinal because I would’ve liked to play against you in the final like we always said, sometimes we will play an important match between you and me.

I want to thank Marcello Barberi alias IL BESTIO for everything because he helped me believing in myself by making fun of me. Luigi Alici and Stefano memoli that supported me talking with me about so many things and Stefano at the beginning before prague when I first learned Nekroz, I didn’t forget it my friend!!, Alberto with the sacred picture, Massimiliano, Amos, Joshua, Alpay, Lorenzo, Riccardo, Giovanni, Paolo, Fabio, Gennaro, Alessio, Andrea, Mattia, Simone, Angelo, Gino, Alessandro, Luca, Ryan, Francesco, Samuele, Lisa, Davide, Daniele, Stefano, Silvio, Jhonny, Jacopo, Giorgio, Mirko, Nicoló and all others that supported me until the end, I’m sorry that I will sure forgot to mention someone but there are just so many!

I still remember our very first game and how you helped me. After that and after some time we became more and more friends being very close to the end. I can‘t ever thank you enough for this. I don’t know what to say in this moment, but you don’t know how much i love you and how much i care about you. You are a very good person. I know you will reach your goal, you really deserve it!! Im really glad to know you!!I love how you cheer for me every time, and how you appreciate me. I would not be where I’m at right now if it wasn’t for all of you guys! THANKS A LOT!
